This fantastic, huge boy was born in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately something went horribly wrong during the delivery and Full of Runnings hemorrhaged and died shortly after her beautiful foal was born.
This baby did not have the privilege to know him mommy or have even one drink from her.
We worked frantically to try and get him colostrum and get him warm and comfortable. He moved home with us, as feeding every 2 hours was a full time job that we took very seriously.

I decided to call this beautiful blue eyed little fighter Just keep Running.
Little Running was the cutest thing and we really bonded over our 2 hourly cuddles and bottle feeds. Having him helped me cope with the loss of my mare. But sadly, it was not meant to be. My beautiful angel boy died at the very tender age of only 5 days, due to a lung infection.

I cried for 3 days solid. Then only really cried for Full of Runnings too. Walked around like a zombie in the night when it was Runnings’ feeding time, and he was not there. Took me a week to pack his bottles away and focus on something else.

My heart has been touched by this baby from heaven whom I was able to love , even if only for 5 days. I will always miss him. Always wonder what he would have looked like all grown up and mature. But it was not meant to be…

R.I.P my angel boy, and keep on running with the herd in the sky…..
